Food Bank
Opening Times: Wednesdays, 12 noon to 2.00 p.m.
How to Access the Food Bank:
Since opening its doors in 2013 our foodbank has endeavoured to provide emergency food parcels for the vulnerable residents of Kings Heath and surrounding districts. However, over recent months we have seen a significant increase in the number of people requiring support while donations have declined.
In order for us to continue to provide this service we have had to make some difficult decisions.
With effect from 1st April 2025:
– Access to the foodbank will be limited to those living in the B13 and B14 postcodes.
– Proof of residential address is required.
– We will also accept referrals from your support worker or other agencies, such as church, school, job coach/employment advisor.
– Please provide evidence of benefits being received, including dependants, e.g., Universal/Pension Credit, Child benefit, Statutory Sick Pay, etc.
– Until further notice, each household will be allowed a maximum of 2 parcels in a 4 week period. This will be reviewed after a period of 6 months.
We will continue to keep these arrangements under review and notify you of any further changes.
Thank you for your co-operation.
